Christmas Cards From Legacy Academy

Christmas is called the season of giving. Students, parents and teachers at Legacy Academy decided to give back to the community this Christmas season by making Christmas cards for all the residents at De Queen Therapy and Living Center. Students, parents, grandparents, and teachers gathered at the school cafeteria before the Christmas break for a busy hour of crafting homemade cards. The cards were delivered a few days before Christmas at the nursing home.

“Many times, there are residents in nursing homes without nearby family and most everyone there would prefer not to be in their current situation. These cards were just a small way we could express that every life is precious and valuable to God.”, said Chad Gallagher, who with his wife, Jessica, founded Legacy Academy.

All of the residents receiving cards were thankful for the thoughtful gestures but the joy seen on the faces of the students as they created and delivered the cards was incredible.
